Im totally ecstatic, commented Shaye. Jane mesmerizes. 'Monster-In-Law' is a wonderful vehicle for this delightful, and puckish, star. Emmerich added, Jane Fonda is cinema royalty, and were incredibly happy to have her in this movie. She and Jennifer Lopez are a terrific combination.
Ms. Fonda said, I am very excited about doing a film after all these years and Im glad its a comedy.
New Line's Executive Vice President, Production, Richard Brener is overseeing the project along with executives Cale Boyter and Magnus Kim. The film is slated for the 2005 schedule.
Fonda has not appeared on the big screen since the 1990 Martin Ritt film, "Stanley & Iris," in which she starred opposite Robert De Niro.
