Guide Review - "The Importance of Being Earnest" DVD Review
Based on the play by Oscar Wilde, "The Importance of Being Earnest" features the hilarious antics of two bachelor friends and the lengths they go to to find true love. Colin Firth plays Worthing, the refined and more dignified of the two, who creates a fictitious brother (Ernest) whenever he wants to escape the drudgery of country life.Rupert Everett stars as his ne'er-do-well friend who steals the name of Ernest to use for his own purposes. Trouble ensues when both 'Ernests' fall for women while using the 'Ernest' name. Reese Witherspoon and Frances O'Connor play the love interests in this witty, romantic, comedy of errors.
