"Frida" DVD Review Salma Hayek's personal dedication to bringing this project to life is evident throughout this gorgeous biopic. With "Frida," Hayek proves she's a force to be reckoned with. "The Recruit" DVD Review The movie is semi-predictable and would really only rate 2.5 to 3 stars on its own merit, however the commentary track is what makes this DVD a keeper. "25th Hour" DVD Review You don't need to be a fan of Spike Lee to admire the way he works tributes to his beloved New York City into this film. "25th Hour" is touching, disturbing and one of Lee's better films. "Equilibrium" DVD Review Any movie that advertises itself with "Forget 'The Matrix'" on the cover of its DVD is asking for it. Where "The Matrix" boldly ventured into new territory, "Equilibrium" plays like a pale imitation. "The Hot Chick" DVD Review As usual, Rob Schneider's completely over-the-top but thankfully he's surrounded by a good young cast that saves the film from being a total hamfest. "Treasure Planet" DVD Review Maybe audiences are spoiled from CGI animation, or maybe it just wasn't marketed well. Whatever the reason, "Treasure Planet" now stands a chance of capturing an audience with its DVD release. "Rabbit-Proof Fence" DVD Review To be honest, I'd rate this film with 5 stars even if the DVD came without any bonus features. This is one of the best movies of 2002 and one that hopefully will find a wider audience on DVD. "Waking Up In Reno" DVD Review After watching "Waking Up In Reno" you can't help but wonder what the cast was thinking when they signed on. I'd recommend this film only if every other Billy Bob Thornton movie was unavailable. "Secretary" DVD Review "Secretary" is a love story with an amusing, sensual twist. Featuring a fine cast, this sexy romance is strictly for adults looking for something totally different. "Drumline" DVD Review Your admiration for marching bands is definitely going to grow by leaps and bounds after viewing this impressive movie. "Drumline" is a wonderful, uplifting film, perfect for all age groups. "Moonlight Mile" DVD Review "Moonlight Mile's" DVD includes a decent selection of bonus features and benefits from intelligent commentary tracks. Writer/director Brad Silberling put his heart into the film and it shows. "Igby Goes Down" DVD Review "Igby Goes Down" comes to DVD complete with a wide selection of bonus features, more so than most smaller, indie films. Pick it up when you're in the mood for something a little darker than the norm. "Full Frontal" DVD Review There are times when it's better to wait for a film's DVD release than to the watch it during it's theatrical run. "Full Frontal" is a prime example of a movie that plays better on DVD. "Sweet Home Alabama" DVD Review "Sweet Home Alabama" is just that, it's 'sweet.' The movie is fluffy entertainment showcasing the extremely likeable Reese Witherspoon in yet another romantic comedy. "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" DVD Review I absolutely loved this movie when I saw it in the theater, and I still love it after watching the DVD. It's a non-offensive movie with something for everyone - how many movies can make that claim? "Tadpole" DVD Review I gave this DVD three stars, but only because I'm a fan of the film. Basing the review solely on the quality of the DVD, I'd have to say it's closer to deserving no more than two stars. "Signs" DVD Review "Signs" teams M. Night Shyamalan and Mel Gibson for a suspenseful thriller featuring crop circles, aliens, and a loss of faith. A hit at the theaters, "Signs" on DVD doesn't disappoint. "Tuck Everlasting" DVD Review While lacking deleted scenes and other behind-the-scenes footage, the commentary tracks are fairly interesting. I found the "Lessons of Tuck" feature to be too distracting and wouldn't recommend it. "Lilo & Stitch" DVD Review "Lilo & Stitch" is one of Disney's sweetest family films in years. You have to love a movie that teaches the importance of family, shows women as strong and capable, and features aliens and Elvis. "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys" DVD Review The critically acclaimed movie "The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys" comes to DVD with an amazing assortment of bonus features - more than are normally included with indie films. "Spider-Man" DVD Review Comic book fans and moviegoers alike found something to cheer about with director Sam Raimi's enormously successful, "Spider-Man." This is one truly entertaining film for the entire family. "Reign of Fire" DVD Review If you're a fan of special effects movies featuring mythical creatures, then "Reign of Fire" is your type of film. Bale and McConaughey give it their all in this quick-paced thriller. "Scooby-Doo" DVD Review "Scooby-Doo" was so popular during its theatrical release that it took everyone by surprise. The cast does a great job of bringing the cartoon characters to life from a script that's totally 'Scooby.' This is one truly entertaining film for the entire family.
