The Bottom Line

While lacking deleted scenes and other behind-the-scenes footage, the commentary tracks are fairly interesting. I found the "Lessons of Tuck" feature to be too distracting and wouldn't recommend it.

Guide Review - "Tuck Everlasting" DVD Review

It's interesting how studios choose to hype movies you wouldn't consider spending a buck to go see and then quietly release others that look halfway decent without much in the way of an ad campaign. "Tuck Everlasting" hit theaters without much hoopla, remained in the background during its theatrical release, and now quietly comes to DVD. And that's a shame. "Tuck Everlasting" features a fine mix of veteran actors and young talent who triumph over saccharine material. The story touches on universal themes and you don't need to be a fan of the book to enjoy the movie.

"Tuck Everlasting" is a great family movie that never received the attention it deserved. Non-offensive and wholesome, it's a good way to spend a few hours in front of the TV.
