"They" on DVD

Buena Vista Home Entertainment

The Bottom Line

Horror movies don't have to make sense or feature the best actors. But they absolutely must not go overboard with the dialogue when there's really nothing to say. "They" is guilty of just that.

Pros

  • Starts off well with an interesting premise
  • The monsters are suitably creepy

Cons

  • Loses steam after half an hour
  • Gets too bogged down in trying to tell a story

Description

  • Alternate Ending: Personally I believe this is the one they should have used;
  • Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound;
  • 'Sneak Peeks' at other theatrical releases.

Guide Review - "They" DVD Review

Remember when your sheets provided you protection from things that went bump in the night? How about those nights when it seemed the walls were alive and closets harbored scary monsters ready to gobble you up? Those childhood night terrors are the source of real fear in a group of adults who find out they all shared the same terrifying experiences as children.

Laura Regan stars as a psychology student who begins to suspect that the creatures in her nightmares are real. Ethan Embry, Jon Abrahams and Dagmara Dominczyk co-star as fellow adult victims of the closet monsters, commonly referred to as "They." Marc Blucas plays the boyfriend who tries to be understanding, but just can't accept that aliens or some such thing exist in this world.
