The Bottom Line
To be honest, I'd rate this film with 5 stars even if the DVD came without any bonus features. This is one of the best movies of 2002 and one that hopefully will find a wider audience on DVD.

Guide Review - "Rabbit-Proof Fence" DVD Review
Director Phillip Noyce brings to the screen the heartbreaking true story of three Aboriginal girls who, because of a state decree, are forcibly taken from their loving mothers and placed in a resettlement camp. Taking place in Australia in the 1930's, "Rabbit-Proof Fence" exposes the story of the 'Stolen Generation' - children of mixed race who were ripped from their families and trained to work as servants in white homes. The film follows three girls - Molly (Every Scampi), Daisy (Tirana Danbury) and Gracie (Laura Meagan) - as they escape the camp and embark on a dangerous 1,500 mile journey to return home.
