Guide Review - "Open Range" Movie - DVD Review
Kevin Costner surrounds himself with an outstanding supporting cast (Robert Duvall, Annette Bening, Diego Luna, Michael Gambon, Michael Jeter and Abraham Benrubi) in one of the best Westerns since Clint Eastwood's "Unforgiven."
In "Open Range," Costner portrays free grazer Charley Waite who, along with his companions, ends up doing battle with a ruthless rancher who attempts to run them out of town. Wanting only to earn a living and lead a peaceful life, the group is forced to make a stand against the rancher in what ends up being one of the most realistic gunfights on film.
