This is one of those movies that'll have you cheering for the onscreen action - even though you already know the outcome. Much more than a hockey movie, "Miracle" is the story of a group of guys who overcome substantial obstacles on their way to making a nation proud.

Kurt Russell stars as real-life US Olympic Hockey Coach Herb Brooks, the man behind America's 'miracle on ice.' Following the true story of the legendary 1980 Olympic Hockey team, "Miracle" shows how a group of skaters who weren't necessarily the best in the country could, against all odds, pull together to form an unstoppable team.
Sports movies in general are populated with actors who have a basic knowledge of the sport, but who in most cases are just going through the motions. In "Miracle," the filmmakers chose to go with hockey players they could teach to act instead of the other way around. That decision paid off as the scenes of players on ice are some of the best sports moments featured in a major motion picture.
