Full Frontal Movie DVD

"Full Frontal" DVD

Buena Vista Home Entertainment

The Bottom Line

There are times when it's better to wait for a film's DVD release than to the watch it during it's theatrical run. "Full Frontal" is a prime example of a movie that plays better on DVD.

Pros

Cons

  • "Full Frontal" comes off as too self-indulgent

  • "Conversation with Steven Soderbergh" - Interview with "Full Frontal's" director.

Guide Review - "Full Frontal" DVD Review

Steven Soderbergh gathered Julia Roberts, Blair Underwood, Catherine Keener, Nicky Katt and others for his 'film school'-style indie effort, "Full Frontal."

Unfortunately for Soderbergh fans, "Full Frontal" never lives up to the director's vision. And it's not that "Full Frontal's" movie within a movie within a movie concept is confusing - if it was confusing it might have been more entertaining - the problem is the film just isn't intriguing enough to hold the interest of an audience. You can skip the theatrical version of "Full Frontal," and go straight to watching it with the commentary on in order to get the most out of the experience. The deleted scenes and in-character interviews are much more captivating than the movie itself.
