Guide Review - "Frailty" DVD Review

"Frailty" marks the directorial debut of actor Bill Paxton. With this psychological thriller Paxton shows that he can helm a film, star in it, and make it compelling and entertaining - all at the same time. This is quite an accomplishment for a new director, with the credit divided equally between his artistic vision of "Frailty" and the stellar performances by the cast. The story centers around a father (Bill Paxton) who believes he's seen an angel sent from God who commands him to kill demons disguised as humans. The father proceeds to kill these demons with the help of his two sons, one of whom thinks he's crazy. The story is told in flashback by Matthew McConaughey (portraying one of the sons as an adult).
