Guide Review - "Bringing Down the House" Movie - DVD Review
A hit with audiences of all ages, "Bringing Down the House" stars Steve Martin as Peter Sanderson, an uptight lawyer/dad who sets up a date with a stranger he met over the Internet. Queen Latifah co-stars as Charlene, an escaped convict who surprises Peter when she shows up as his date (he was expecting a beautiful blonde lawyer). As Charlene worms her way into Peter's life - and the life of his two kids - she turns the straightlaced, proper lawyer's world upside down, while catching the eye of Peter's best friend (Eugene Levy). The DVD bonus features are reason enough to buy/rent this movie. The deleted features explain a couple of key plot points missing from the theatrical release, and the gag reel alone is worth the rental cost.
