"Batman" Movie Finds Its Alfred

The upcoming "Batman: Intimidation Game" (tentative title) movie may have found its Alfred in Academy Award-winning actor, Michael Caine. According to "The Hollywood Reporter" and "Variety," Caine will play the caped crusader's right-hand man. Christian Bale was cast as Batman after a lengthy search in which numerous other big names actors were considered.

Director Christopher Nolan ("Memento") will be penning the script with David S Goyer ("Blade" movie series). According to early reports, "Batman: Intimidation Game" follows the early career of The Dark Knight. Warner Bros Pictures expects filming to begin in early 2004.

Michael Caine will next be seen in "The Statement," a horror/thriller directed by Norman Jewison. Caine is currently filming "Around the Bend" with Josh Lucas and Christopher Walken.
