I'll probably get more angry emails over this review than any review I've written this year. I can read them now... "How can you give an A- to such a violent movie?" And then there will also be loads of, "Have you lost your mind? He's running around shooting people while holding a newborn baby!" I know, I know, I know. But you have to take this movie as it's intended. It's a comedy, people. The violence is so outrageously over-the-top there's no way to interpret Shoot Em Up as anything but a total tongue-in-cheek action flick. It never takes itself seriously should why should we?
