Premonition Movie Review

Friday March 16, 2007
Sandra Bullock may want to take a pass on ever doing a movie involving time travel again. At least with The Lake House, another disastrous film with a silly plot, Bullock got to spend some time with her Speed co-star Keanu Reeves.

  • One of the Saw Guys Talks About Dead Silence
Leigh Whannell and James Wan's identities are wrapped up as 'the Saw guys' in the advertising campaign for their current film, Dead Silence. But Whannell wants to warn Saw fans that Dead Silence is not a Saw clone. "It may be a horror film but it's very different, "explained Whannell. "I remember at the test screening for this, we did a test screening out in the suburbs of LA. We're out at some mall and I remember walking into the lobby of the theater and there was this huge line of kids all in black T-shirts, Tool T-shirts and Marilyn Manson T-shirts. These were the kids who loved Saw and I just thought, ‘Oh my God, we're dead.’ Because I knew that these guys wanted to see another Saw. And sure enough, as soon as they sat down, the lady running the test screening walked to the front of the theater and said, ‘All right, guys. We're now going to show you the new film by the guys who created Saw.’ And this huge cheer erupted and my head just dropped because I was like, ‘Oh my God, they're expecting limbs flying, body parts, traps...’ And that is not what Dead Silence is."

    Behind the Scenes of Transformers
Lorenzo di Bonaventura's producing credits include Doom and Constantine as well as the Mark Wahlberg movies Four Brothers and Shooter. During the press rounds for Shooter di Bonaventura fielded a few questions about a couple of his upcoming movies that are generating a lot of buzz – Transformers (directed by Michael Bay) and Stardust (directed by Matthew Vaughn).

Talking about the tone of the Transformers movie, producer di Bonaventura explained, "I think it's everybody's sort of internal barometer. I personally can't take 32 foot-sized metal robots all that seriously. On the other hand, I take what they represent very seriously."
