Movie Review: "Four Brothers"
Thursday August 11, 2005
John Singleton said he wanted to make a movie with a distinctly Western tone and with "Four Brothers," Singleton's accomplished just that. The movie's contemporary urban setting could easily be encased in a time capsule and sent back to the days of the Wild West and it would seem right at home.Mark Wahlberg, Tyrese Gibson, Garrett Hedlund, and Andre Benjamin star in Singleton's latest urban drama. Is it worth checking out? It is, if you are don't mind violence. "Four Brothers" is rated R for a very, very good reason.

Interview with Gerard Butler
I've said this before and I'll probably say it again - I love covering movie premieres. Occasionally they're a waste of time, but more often than not each premiere has at least one interview that makes it all worthwhile (Photo: Gerard Butler in "Beowulf & Grendel" © Grendel Productions). The premiere of the DreamWorks' thriller "Red Eye" turned out to be one of the best premieres of the year, interview-wise. Not only did I snag time with Rachel McAdams, Cillian Murphy, Colby Donaldson and director Wes Craven, but there was the added bonus of an appearance by Gerard Butler who just happens to be one of my favorite interview subjects. Butler makes my job easy as he loves to talk about his upcoming projects . Check out this exclusive interview video with Gerard Butler talking about the script for "Burns," casting Julia Stiles as his love interest, delays in production, and working on the dramatic movie, "Beowulf & Grendel:"
