Kate Hudson transitions from the romantic comedy/girl next door type of role to something a little grittier, a little more intense in the supernatural thriller, "The Skeleton Key." "K-Pax" director Iain Softley said this particular character is closer to Hudson in real life than any she's played thus far."When I first met her, she was talking like a 35-year-old rather than a 25-year-old. She’s very direct, very confident about what she thinks. She’s very mature in the sense that she listens to other people. She engages with other people, is a strong character, and has a very serious side," recalled Softley.
