The day before the Thanksgiving holiday weekend is normally a slow entertainment news day and this year is no exception. Just about the biggest movie news to hit today is the confirmation that Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues will be opening two days earlier than expected, moving off of December 20th to a December 18th wide release date. Paramount announced the tiny shift in the Anchorman sequel's release date along with word that Friday the 13th will come out on March 13, 2015.
Also joining in the release date tango is Legendary Pictures with the announcement of Warcraft's move from December 18, 2015 (when Star Wars: Episode VII is set to arrive) to March 11, 2016. And after shifting from Warner Bros Picture to Universal, Legendary has now settled on a February 6, 2015 opening for Seventh Son starring Ben Barnes and Jeff Bridges and filmed back in 2012. Meanwhile Universal will be reviving The Mummy franchise with a new Mummy film coming to theaters on April 22, 2016.
