Vince VaughnVince Vaughn has snagged one of the starring roles in the Paramount Pictures comedy Daddy's Home from director Etan Cohen. Vaughn will star opposite Will Ferrell who's also producing the movie through his Gary Sanchez Productions. Ferrell's producing partner, filmmaker Adam McKay, is producing and co-wrote the script with Brian Burns, Chris Henchy, and Etan Cohen (writer, Tropic Thunder).

Filming is expected to take place later this year.

The official synopsis: Daddy's Home "is the story of a mild-mannered radio executive (Ferrell) who strives to become the best stepdad ever to his wife's two children, but complications ensue when their freewheeling, freeloading real father (Vaughn) arrives, forcing stepdad to compete for the affection of the kids."

Vaughn and Ferrell previously worked together on Wedding Crashers, Starsky & Hutch, Old School, and Anchorman.
