It's The Rock versus alien invaders in this weekend's battle for box office supremacy. Or rather, it's Dwayne Johnson in serious actor mode taking on Keri Russell as a mom trying to save her family from extraterrestrial visitors. Writer/director Ric Roman Waugh promises a Dwayne Johnson as we've never seen before, and he delivers on that promise. Snitch isn't as action-heavy as you'd assume from watching the trailers and instead gives Johnson a chance to show off his dramatic skills. And as far as Russell and the aliens...Dark Skies did not screen for critics, however in my exclusive interview with writer/director Scott Stewart (Priest, Legion) he says audiences can expect more family drama and less alien presence.
