Tomorrowland has gotten a bit more interesting with the news that Hugh Laurie (House) could be joining the cast. The Hollywood Reporter says Laurie is in the "talks" stage of the casting process and may be signing on to play the villain.
Disney's Tomorrowland (formerly known as 1952) will be directed by Brad Bird (Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol). Damon Lindelof (Prometheus) co-wrote the script with Jeff Jensen. The sci-fi film, which hasn't released an official synopsis, is set to star George Clooney.
Disney's set a December 19, 2014 release date.
Now that Laurie's wrapped up all of his House duties, he's free to get busy in feature films. However, he hasn't pounced on the opportunity yet, committing only to voice duties on The Canterville Ghost.
