San Diego Film Critics Unveil Their 2012 Nominees

By December 10, 2012

Follow me on:

The MasterThe San Diego Film Critics Society (of which I'm a member) has revealed the list of nominees for their 2012 awards. Surprisingly, The Master seems to have found a lot of support from within the group although I'll admit it was absent from my list of nominees (sorry, but it's not one of my personal favorites this year). Also finding a lot of support from the So Cal critics group was Argo with eight nominations and Les Miserables with six, including Anne Hathaway and Samantha Barks competing against each other in the Best Supporting Actress category.

And speaking of Best Supporting Actress nominations, I'm particularly proud that our group recognized Rebel Wilson for her movie-stealing turn in Pitch Perfect and that we gave a nomination to Joss Whedon & Drew Goddard's Cabin in the Woods screenplay. Way to think outside the box.
