Tyler Perry's back at work shooting his next film, Single Mom's Club, at his Atlanta, Georgia studios. Lionsgate says production has just begun on the comedy starring Perry, Nia Long, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Amy Smart, Zulay Henao, Cocoa Brown, Ryan Eggold, William Levy, Terry Crews and Eddie Cibrian.
Single Mom's Club will hit theaters on May 9, 2014.
The official synopsis: "Brought together by an incident at their children's school, a group of single mothers from different walks of life bond, and create a support group that helps them find comedy in the obstacles of life, as well as their inner strength to overcome their personal challenges."
Producer/writer/director Perry was most recently seen on screen in the under-performing Alex Cross. Next up, Lionsgate's set a March 29, 2013 release date for his Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor.
