By November 16, 2012

Follow me on:

Safe HavenTurkeys will be invading theaters on November 14, 2014. That's right, the animated comedy all about turkeys is coming to theaters in 2014 right around Thanksgiving and just in time for everyone to settle down for a turkey meal.

Relativity Media also announced they've moved the release date of Safe Haven to Valentine's Day 2013.

Turkeys features the voices of Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson and is directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!). Safe Haven is based on the Nicholas Sparks book and was directed by Lasse Hallstrom, who also directed the film adaptation of Sparks' Dear John. Josh Duhamel, Julianne Hough, David Lyons, and Cobie Smulders lead the cast.

The scoop on Turkeys: "Turkeys is an irreverent, hilarious, adventurous buddy comedy where two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history - and get turkey off the menu for good."

The Safe Haven plot: "Safe Haven is an affirming and suspenseful story about a young woman's struggle to find love again after she arrives in a small North Carolina town. Her reluctance to join the tight-knit community raises questions about her past. Slowly, she begins putting down roots and gains the courage to start a relationship with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children. But dark secrets intrude on her new life with such terror that she is forced to rediscover the meaning of sacrifice and rely on the power of love in this deeply moving romantic thriller."
