Jim Carrey Joining Kick-Ass 2

Writer/director Jeff Wadlow tweeted the news, confirming the rumors that Jim Carrey had been tapped to play 'The Colonel' in the Kick-Ass sequel, Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall. Filming's expected to get underway in three days on the Universal Pictures superhero action film starring Chloe Grace Moretz as Hit Girl, Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass, Nicolas Cage as Big Daddy, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Red Mist.

Wadlow's credits include Cry Wolf and Never Back Down. Carrey recently completed work on Don Scardino's The Incredible Burt Wonderstone with Olivia Wilde and Steve Carell.
