Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air) says she thought it was her work in Twilight that made the directors of ParaNorman think of her to voice the big sister character in their animated stop-motion film. However, playing a high school student in a town full of vegetarian vampires had nothing to do with her casting in ParaNorman. Instead, Kendrick told us in an interview that directors Sam Fell and Chris Butler took the unusual step of splicing together interviews she and Casey Affleck had done to see if they would fit in the film.
