Emma Watson has confirmed the rumors are just that, rumors. Watson told Entertainment Weekly she hasn't been approached about taking on the role of Anastasia Steele in the movie version of the bestselling book, Fifty Shades of Grey, and that as of right now it's all just the internet rumor mill spreading around news of her possible attachment to the franchise. The same thing happened during the casting process for The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, according to Watson.
"I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing," Watson said in an interview with EW. "There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call."
And while she keeps hearing her name tossed about as attached to various projects, Watson told EW she's not going to comment on every rumor. "The thing is I'm not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement," said Watson.
Best known to millions of Muggles as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter franchise, Watson's moved on from playing a teen witch to more adult roles. Next up is a starring role in Perks of Being a Wallflower. She recently wrapped up work on The Bling Ring for Sofia Coppola and is working with Darren Aronofsky on Noah.

Alex. Pettyfer. Is. Christian. Grey. I’m more convinced than ever after seeing him in Magic Mike. Also, Kate Mara should play Ana. Check out Kate’s performance in American Horror Story season one for proof.
