Deadline says Cameron Crowe's next film - a still untitled project - is moving forward with Emma Stone set to star. Crowe will be writing and directing the movie which is set up at Sony.
Not much is known about the romantic drama, other than that Scott Rudin is on board to produce and filming is expected to begin this fall. Crowe is currently searching for the film's leading man.
Stone can be seen on screen in The Amazing Spider-Man. She recently completed work on the ensemble comedy Movie 43 and the animated comedy The Croods. Stone also has a role in the crime drama Gangster Squad which moved out of September 2012 to a January 2013 release date following the tragic shooting in Aurora, Colorado.
