Gasp, a shocker. Not really, as the Golden Globes awarded George Clooney the Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama trophy. Clooney's a shoe-in for an Oscar nomination and could possibly be taking another golden Oscar statuette home for his fine performance in The Descendants.
Clooney expressed his admiration for his fellow nominee and close friend Brad Pitt, acknowledging not just his work in films but also his charitable work around the world. "I'd like to thank Michael Fassbender for taking over the frontal nudity responsibility that I had," added Clooney. "Really, Michael, you can play golf like this [swinging his pelvis] with your hands behind your back. Go for it, man. Do it!"
Clooney also thanked the Hollywood Foreign, his fellow Descendants actors, and director Alexander Payne who he said "makes wonderful films and is a great friend."

Michael Fassbender should have won best actor in a drama for Shame. Clooney was fine, but I don’t see the “greatness” in The Descendants. Hugo, The Artist, and War Horse are superior films, IMO. And I hope Steven Spielberg gets the Oscar directing nomination he deserves for War Horse.
