The ever-expanding cast of Magic Mike has just grown by one. Cody Horn, daughter of former Warner Bros Pictures studio head Alan Horn, has landed one of the female leads in the stripper film to be directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Magic Mike is based on Tatum's real life experiences as a male stripper back before he landed acting gigs. In the film, Tatum will be playing the mentor to Pettyfer's character (a character loosely based on Tatum) who is a new stripper at the club where Tatum works. Matthew McConaughey recently signed up to play an ex-stripper who owns the club where Tatum and Pettyfer are employed. True Blood's Joe Manganiello is playing Big Dick Ritchie (yeah, go ahead, try and say that without laughing) and Matt Bomer will also be seen as a stripper in the film, with shooting expected to get underway next month.
Tatum is also producing the project, with his producing partner, Reid Carolin, writing the script.
