The VaultJohnny Depp's production company, Infinitum Nihil, and Graham King's GK Films have picked up the film rights to the comic book 3-issue miniseries The Vault and are bringing it to the big screen. Depp, Infinitum Nihil's president, Christi Dembrowski, King and Tim Headington are producing the film version.

The Vault was created and written by Sam Sarkar with illustrations by Garrie Gastonny.

Announcing the deal, Sarkar said, "So thankful and happy to have the support of Johnny, Christi, Graham, Tim and Denis in bringing the movie of the Vault to life. Lots more surprises to come!"

Here's the synopsis of the comic miniseries: "The Vault is about a small team of treasure hunters, struggling to excavate a dangerous and legendary treasure pit before a massive storm hits Sable Island, the 'Graveyard of the North Atlantic.' Equipped with all the latest technology, the scientists believe they are prepared against all of nature's fury, but nothing can prepare them for what they are about to unleash."

Depp's Infinitum Nihil also produced The Rum Diary, written and directed by Bruce Robinson and opening on October 28th, 2011 as well as Martin Scorsese's Hugo and Dark Shadows (directed by Tim Burton and starring Depp).
