Disney's Wish List has just landed a big-name female lead. Reese Witherspoon is set to star in the comedy, so says Deadline, with Randi Mayem Singer (Tooth Fairy) working on the script. As of right now, Disney hasn't signed up a director for the project which was originally conceived with a male in the lead role but will be reworked for Witherspoon.
The story involves a woman in her mid-30s who made 10 wishes at a wishing well as a kid and is just now having her childhood wishes come true.
Witherspoon was last seen on the big screen opposite Twilight hunk Robert Pattinson in Water for Elephants. Her next film, This Means War starring Chris Pine and Tom Hardy (and directed by McG), will hit theaters in February.
