Ben Barnes could be starring in the fantasy adventure film The Seventh Son opposite Jeff Bridges, according to Deadline. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' Sam Claflin had been rumored to have been attached to the role, but it looks like Barnes - best known for playing Prince Caspian in the Narnia franchise - will be stepping into the part, if his deal goes through.
The Seventh Son is based on the young adult series Joseph Delaney, The Last Apprentice. The project's set up at Warner Bros Pictures with Bridges playing an exorcist. Barnes would play his apprentice. Julianne Moore and Alicia Vikander are also on board The Seventh Son.
Sergei Bodrov (Nomad, Mongol) is directing, with WB eyeing a 2013 release. Filming's expected to begin in September.
