Michael Caine Talks Cars 2 and The Dark Knight Rises

Michael Caine makes his Pixar debut voicing a British spy car named Finn McMissile in Cars 2 co-directed by John Lasseter and Brad Lewis. The first Cars was set in the small town of Radiator Springs; for the sequel, Lasseter and company took the action international. Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), Mater (Larry the Cable Guy), and many of the popular Cars animated characters return for this action-packed sequel, with Lightning, Mater, and the rest of Lightning's pit crew traveling abroad to participate in the World Grand Prix. However, Mater gets caught up in international espionage when he's mistaken for an American spy by Finn McMissile and his snazzy assistant, Holley Shiftwell (voiced by Emily Mortimer).

Caine wasn't able to make the trip to Los Angeles for the film's press day because he was busy working on The Dark Knight Rises with Christopher Nolan, but he was able to participate via video. During the press conference, Caine spoke about working with John Lasseter, the process of providing a voice in a Pixar film, and the appeal of Cars 2:
