The cast of Christopher Nolan's third Batman movie has just grown by one. Juno Temple is confirmed for a role in The Dark Knight Rises. However, exactly which character she'll be playing has not yet been disclosed.
Variety confirms Temple's set to play a "street-smart Gotham girl" and speculation has it she could possibly take on the role of Holly Robinson, a friend of Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman). Temple's joining a cast that already includes returning Batman stars Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, and Michael Caine, as well as franchise newcomers Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Tom Hardy.
Temple's film credits include Year One, Atonement, and The Other Boleyn Girl.
The Dark Knight Rises, directed by Nolan (who should have earned an Oscar nod for directing Inception), is expected to start filming next month. Warner Bros is sending The Dark Knight Rises out into theaters on July 20, 2012.
