Rango reviewContributing writer David Nusair took in a screening of Rango and loved the visuals but was a little disappointed in the story. "With Rango, Gore Verbinski becomes the latest filmmaker to make the leap from live action to animation - which places him in the company of well-known directors like Robert Zemeckis (Beowulf) and Zack Snyder (Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole). Armed with a typically offbeat lead performance from Johnny Depp and a beautiful animation style, Rango initially comes off as innovative piece of work that is utterly unlike any animated movie you've ever seen." This would have been a great movie, but why all of the “hell’s” and “damn’s”? So unnecessary. Sadly, this won’t be a movie I rent or buy for my two little girls.

I felt this movie was meant more for adults than children. I took my preschooler and was upset that I did. The use of profanity in a childs film was disapointing. Rango killed another character in the movie….a hawk. Rango gave his loaded and cocked 6 shooter to a little girl possum to hold while he was busy being fussed over. She was looking down the barrel and pointing it around the room unknowing of the danger. Very bad message for children. A lot of gun violence in this movie. Save this show for the more mature crowd not the children. Not good for the whole family.

why, why, why, do they think they have to use profanity. you can say the same thing without a curse word that you can with them and still get the point across . why ruin a potentially good kids movie with profanity and a lot of adults won’t watch it either. i won’t let my grandson watch it due to this , it could have been a movie i would have purchased for his video library but not since i found out about the swearing. there are no morels in this country anymore.

Long, boring, and full of profanity. Not for kids. Should have been PG-13. Who in their right mind gave it a PG rating?

ok,first of all…this IS NOT a kids movie, with the smoking, bad language, and barbie boobs!!!! i am sooo dissapointed,i took my three year old daughter and my 6 year old little sister,i’m not saying they have never heard or seen this type of stuff,it’s just that the trailers direct this to kids, and so does burger king in there kids meals for goodness sakes and is is not a childrens movie,if i wanted them to see this type of thing i would have actually watched something that i wanted to see!!!! VERY, VERY, dissapointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PEOPLE stop making a huge deal about the small amounts of swearing and guns if you complain next time think about taking a 3 year old to see a western movie or at least see a trailer or read about it somewhere like COME ON!!!

Not a movie for kids. Too much profanity and violence. Should have been rated PG-13. Would never see it again.
