The Hollywood Reporter says Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg are preparing to play father and son in I Hate You Dad, a comedy set up at Columbia Pictures. Sandler will be producing the film, however as of right now there's no director attached to the project although David Wain (who did a rewrite with Ken Marino) has been mentioned as a possibility.Sandler's 44 and Samberg's 32 so the father/son casting is a bit bizarre, but maybe it's explained in the film. I Hate You Dad finds Sandler playing a dad who creates havoc in his son's life when he moves in and immediately takes a disliking to his son's fiancee.
Samberg's got Friends with Benefits and What's Your Number? hitting theaters this year. Sandler will next be seen in Just Go With It opposite Jennifer Aniston and heard in Zookeeper starring Kevin James.
