Nicolas Cage is keeping super busy, with The Hollywood Reporter reporting the 46 year old actor has signed up for a starring role in Medallion. Simon West's directing the action thriller from a script by David Guggenheim. West and Cage previously worked together on the action drama Con Air.Clive Owen had been attached to tackle the lead in Medallion which finds a former thief having to try and rescue his young daughter after she's kidnapped and locked in the trunk of a taxi. The budget's rumored to be in the $30 million range and filming's expected to get underway in February.
Cage was last seen onscreen in The Sorcerer's Apprentice and has Drive Angry and Season of the Witch hitting theaters in 2011.
