Welcome to People Casting Call

DreamWorks is looking for a young boy to star as Elizabeth Banks' son in the upcoming drama Welcome to People set to begin shooting in Los Angeles in January. First-time feature film director Alex Kurtzman (screenwriter of Cowboys & Aliens, Star Trek, Transformers 1 and 2) will be holding an open casting call this Saturday in Los Angeles.

DreamWorks is looking for a Caucasian male between the ages of 11 and 13 to play Josh (described as "athletic, independent, and confident"). No previous acting experience is required, however the film is aiming for a PG-13 rating so anyone interested should be okay with PG-13-ish dialogue.

Kurtzman co-wrote the script with Roberto Orci and Jody Lambert.

"Welcome to People is a drama about a young businessman (Chris Pine) who returns home after his estranged father's sudden death, only to uncover a devastating family secret, which sends him on an unexpected journey of self-discovery."
