Lindsay Lohan photoThis news won't come as a surprise to anyone who follows the exploits of Lindsay Lohan. The 24 year old troubled celeb has been dropped from Inferno, a biopic of porn star Linda Lovelace (best known for 1972's Deep Throat). The film's writer/director, Matthew Wilder, told E! that they've decided to go ahead with the project without Lohan in the lead.

In an interview with E!, Wilder stated, "We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan. We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard."

Wilder went on to say that the reason behind the decision had to do with the difficulties of insuring her as well as other undisclosed issues. Lohan's currently in rehab and won't be free to work until after January 3, 2011.

Hot on the heels of the Lohan news came word that Malin Akerman is the actress Wilder was referring to in the above statement, according to Deadline. 32 year old Akerman was most recently seen onscreen in the independent film The Romantics and has completed work on The Bang Bang Club, Catch .44, and Wanderlust. She's attached to star in The Numbers Station and The Giant Mechanical Man.

She would have made a perfect Lovelace. Porn star and drug addict.
