Aaron Eckhart Stars in The Expatriate

Another day, another bit of casting news revealed at the American Film Market (AFM). Executive producers Essential Entertainment announced Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) will star in the action film The Expatriate to be directed by German filmmaker Philipp Stolzl.

According to Variety, The Expatriate involves a former CIA agent (Eckhart) who is being tracked down by a "trained operative" out to kill him and his 15 year old daughter.

Filming on The Expatriate is expected to get underway early next year.

Eckhart's been keeping extremely busy lately with starring roles in Rabbit Hole with Nicole Kidman (earning some early Oscar buzz), Rum Diary with Johnny Depp, and the alien invasion film, Battle: Los Angeles.
