Up in the Air screenwriter Sheldon Turner's action comedy about a couple of cops has landed two Hollywood hunks, says The Hollywood Reporter. Bradley Cooper (last seen in The A-Team) and Ryan Reynolds (who just finished up work on Green Lantern) will be playing San Francisco police officers in the still untitled film which will be produced by Neal Moritz, Andrew Panay, Jonathon Komack Martin, J.C. Spink and Chris Bender. Currently the project doesn't have a home at any studio, but with the project now moving forward - and with Reynolds and Cooper both committed to star - it'll likely land at a major studio in the not too distant future.

According to THR, Reynolds and Cooper play second generation cops whose retired fathers team up with their sons to solve a case. There's no word yet on who will play Reynolds and Cooper's dads or who will direct.

Cooper will next be seen in The Dark Fields and is supposed to start filming Hangover 2 later this year. Reynolds has the thriller Buried set to hit theaters on September 24th.
