Summit Entertainment finally announced the release date for the final Twilight film, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2. Brace yourself Teams Edward and Jacob - and all those claiming to be part of Team Switzerland - Breaking Dawn Part 2 won't be released in theaters until November 16, 2012. Yes, 2012. The most recent Twilight film, Eclipse, hit theaters on June 30th and Twilighters will have to wait until November 18, 2011 for the next installment in the teen vampire love story saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. Eclipse is the only film of the 5 part series to hit theaters in a month other than November.
Bill Condon is directing both parts of Breaking Dawn, with filming expected to begin this fall. All members of the main cast, including Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, and Jackson Rathbone, are returning for the final two films.

i was impressed with how much better the movies are getting and the fact they are getting closer with the books in each movie made. the only thing pissing me off like crazy is the fact that they are making breaking dawn a two part movie, airing one in 2011 and waiting to show the second part in 2012! that’s total BS is u ask me. and honestly to all u haters of the movie, why would u even be on these sites and even base ur opinion cuz honestly…NO ONE gives a rats ass what u think or if u like it. if u don’t, stay away from these fan sites and w/e u have to say….just EAT IT!

Very disappointed that they are taking so long to release the first part of breaking dawn:(;( I dont see why they would wait so long I now refuse to watch it in theaters, will now wait till it comes onto DVD.
Crystal – I Seriously doubt you won’t see it in the theater. If you are a big enough fan to post on a fan site (I am too!) then you will so go to the theater, most likely opening night.

actually they’re not slow…the last two movies were released not even within a year with one another. I’m glad they’re taking their time to make sure the movie is good and fulfills the fan’s as well as the book’s expectations.
i am totally excited for breaking dawn, but it just seems so far away, i have read the book but now im just deing to see the movie, i LOVE twilight, and i love all the actors in the film kristen stewart and rob pattinson, ashley greene etc love them all….lets just hope the next 2 years fly by so we get to see breaking dawn

Midnight Sun is soo good and I would love for her to do all four books from Edwards perspective. Yeah its the same story but you get to find out so much more. It sucks that someone had to go leak the unfinished copy and piss off Stephanie Myers so she decideds to not finish the book and publish what shehas done on her website to tease us as punishment for seeing it before she was done

I would much rather read thew books. They are much more detailed than any of the movies.
I am completely torn about how I feel about waiting so long for the movies. Glad they are taking their time, I would absolutely hate to be dissappointed after all my excitement. Frustration cause I’m so impatient. I’m just gonna have to read the books again from start to finish. I have a movie projector in my head while I read the books. To my surprise my mind’s movies were quite vivid even though I hadn’t seen the actual movies yet. GREAT WRITING!
So, what – everybody is either going to rant on about the twilight movies taking longer to be released, or everybody is going to complain about them not being thought through enough.
Longer waiting = better movie
Less waiting = sloppy directing
But hey, either way, at least you get to complain.

I dislike when people compare Twilight saga to Harry Potter. They are not in same category of fantasy, therefore shouldn’t be said one is better than the other. They are “both” good movies!
What I’d like to know is why is Breaking Dawn part 1 & 2 a year apart? That’s ridiculous! There’s no reason why it can’t be a few months apart like Harry Potter Deathly Hollows 1 & 2 are. Year apart is torture to us fans! lol

Quality is never really an issue with this series because movie execs know it can be a load of crap and fans will devour it (see: Twilight, scene: “Hang on, spider monkey“).
I had a longer post but it’s basically this: You’re ridiculous for finding Bella’s choice of killing herself to be with “the one” instead of living her life and making her own choices a ‘sweet idea.’ And should be saddened by the fact that the Harry Potter series promotes intelligence and strong moral female characters that are immediately written off because they don’t decide they can’t live without their significant other. Seriously read both series before passing judgement. Bella is hailed as a wonderful female character because she’s plain. You are able to project yourself onto Bella’s character, effectively making her story your own. Get this through your head, sit down with an HP novel, and decide if it’s “romantic” being verbally and mentally abused by your significant other. Unless he decides that for you.

If you don’t like the Twilight series or the actors then you don’t have to watch it. That’s the great thing about having freedom of choice. I do advise that you keep such snide comments to yourself however, as some of us actually do like the story and the actors.
You may have your opinion, this you are entitled to, but if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all.

I’m a twilight fan and love the books, but I think I would rather read Jacob and Renesmees story than I story I’ve basically already read before (Midnight Sun).
That is rediculous that the movies are being released so far apart. I sure hope we make it to see part 2. Matter fact I’m not going to go watch part 1 until part 2 comes out.
first off the movie is being made into 2 parts because there is so much information from the book that they need in the movie.the other movies were made in one part because they didnt need as much information as the final book needs most of the book is so important that they need to split it into 2 parts otherwise the movie would run to long and there is a limit on how long one movie can run.

She stated, “If I tried to write Midnight Sun now, in my current frame of mind, James would probably win and all the Cullens would die, which wouldn’t dovetail too well with the original story. In any case, I feel too sad about what has happened to continue working on Midnight Sun, and so it is on hold indefinitely.”[1] She made the twelve-chaptered draft available on her website in fairness to her readers, now that the novel has been compromised before its intended publication date.[4] Meyer also stated that she doesn’t believe the manuscript was leaked with any malicious intent, and would not give any names.[1]
In a November 2008 interview, Meyer said that, “It’s really complicated, because everyone now is in the driver’s seat, where they can make judgment calls. [...] I do not feel alone with the manuscript. And I cannot write when I don’t feel alone.”[5] She said that her goal was to go for around two years without hearing about Midnight Sun, and she thought that she would begin working on the novel again once she was sure that “everyone’s forgotten about it”.

I got to say i have a feeling these two last movies are going to rock!!! I just hope they would have made the movies rated R instead of PG 13 i think its not going to be worth watching it if there is not going to be any great parts in the movie that involve Renesmee’s birth in close view or the sex scene!! But i just have to accept it :/

I heard that Stephanie Meyer stopped writting Midnight Sun because all of her fans keep asking about it. Well of course we r…dah. We love her books and all of the movies. I also heard she will continue to write it when everyone stop questioning her and for get about it. Like I can do that. But I will if that what it does to get her to write it. I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!! I don’t even understand why people even say Harry Potter and Twilight in the same sentence much less compare them. I’ve read all the books and seen all the movies made so far for both series and they have nothing to do with the other. The story lines are not even similar. Twilight is a love story so obviously it isnt going to be as “action packed” as Harry Potter but it has qualities that Harry Potter does not. Both are exceptional series in their own way and one does not take anything away from the other. I patiently await the last movie to end both series. I doubt that there will ever be another series of movies and or books that could ever compete with either Harry Potter or Twilight. I comment both Authors for their incredible imaginations and amazing stories!
Agree with what most of you are saying. I’m frustrated at how long it will be before the movie is released. I can understand the first part taking so long but would be happier with a June release for part two. Or even all together in May 2012. I guess I’ll just wait impatiently

Can someone tell me what does Harry Potter and Twilight have in common because i don’t. Harry Potter is about witches and Wizards and Twilight was about Vampire and Werewolves so why is anyone fighting over two totally different things. So stop fighting over something so stupid.
