Imogen Poots has nabbed the final lead role in the remake of Fright Night starring Anton Yelchin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, and David Tennant. Poots will be playing Yelchin's girlfriend in the new take on the 1985 vampire horror comedy, reports The Hollywood Reporter.DreamWorks is jumping on the vampire bandwagon, with the new Fright Night set to go before the cameras later this summer. Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) is directing. The original film followed a teenager who's convinced his next door neighbor is a vampire. He enlists the help of a TV host who's a self-proclaimed vampire hunter to rid his neighborhood of the fanged one. Yelchin plays the teen, Farrell will play the vampire, and Collette will be playing Yelchin's mom. Mintz-Plasse will co-star as Yelchin's best friend and David Tennant plays the TV host.
Poots' credits include 28 Weeks Later, Me and Orson Welles, and the upcoming Jane Eyre with Michael Fassbender, Mia Wasikowska, and Jamie Bell.
