Glee fans - or 'Gleeks' as they're affectionately known - should be pleased to know we'll soon get to hear more of Lea Michele. Michele has just landed the lead voice in the animated film, Dorothy of Oz, according to Variety. Now, that's good news and bad news. Good in that Michele's got a pleasant speaking voice and is a fantastic singer, and she'll be singing in Oz. Bad because we won't get to watch Michele actually perform on the big screen just yet.

Dorothy of Oz finds the lovely Kansas girl and her cute dog, Toto, heading back to Oz for another adventure alongside the Scarecrow (Dan Aykroyd), the Tin Man (Kelsey Grammer), and the Lion (James Belushi). Other actors lending their voices to Dorothy of Oz include Hugh Dancy as Marshall Mallow, Oliver Platt as Wiser the Owl, and Martin Short as the film's villain, the Jester.

Dan St. Pierre (Everyone's Hero) is directing. Adam Balsam, Randi Barnes and Barry Glasser adapted Roger S Baum's book (Baum is the great-grandson of the author of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz).

Lea Michele is super talented, so I’m sure a live-action role is in her future! Animated films are not normally my thing, but I will see this movie just to hear her gorgeous voice.
