Disney's 3D performance capture version of Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale opened with good, but not great, numbers. Coming in at the low end of pre-release estimates, Disney's A Christmas Carol easily earned the top spot at the box office. But the weekend's big surprise was Lionsgate's Precious.
