Vampires will be well represented at this year's Spike's TV 'SCREAM 2009'. The cast of True Blood - Stephen Moyer, Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgård, and Sam Trammell - as well as the show's creator, Alan Ball, will be in attendance at the event. Twilight cast members will also be on hand at the 4th annual award show honoring sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and comic book movies and TV shows. The event will also premiere new footage from the second Twilight film, New Moon. Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire will present a tribute to comic book legend Stan Lee who'll be receiving the Comic-Con Icon Award. George Romero, the "godfather of the modern horror film," will pick up this year's Scream Mastermind Award. According to Spike TV's press statement, the Scream Mastermind Award is "presented to a filmmaker whose unique vision of horror, science fiction and/or fantasy is both critically-acclaimed and culturally significant."
The event will be filmed on October 17th at the Greek Theater and premiere on Spike TV on October 27th at 10pm (ET/PT) The 'SCREAM 2009' award winners are voted on by the public. Visit scream.spike.com to cast your vote.
