Shia LaBeouf's thisclose to finding out who will play one of his parents in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps. Susan Sarandon is in talks to join the cast of the dramatic film, according to Variety. If the deal goes through, Sarandon would play the mother of LaBeouf, who's already confirmed to star as a Wall Street trader following in the footsteps of Gordon Gekko (played, once again, by Michael Douglas).Wall Street 2 reunites the star of the 1987 film (Douglas) with Wall Street director Oliver Stone. Allan Loeb (Things We Lost in the Fire, 21) wrote the script. Newbies to the Wall Street world include LaBeouf, Frank Langella, and Carey Mulligan. Production is expected to begin next month with 20th Century Fox aiming for an April 2010 release.
And can I just say now for the record, Money Never Sleeps does nothing for me as a title. I hope that's a working title.
