The cast of the thriller A Perfect Getaway worked the red carpet at the film's premiere in Los Angeles...with one noticeable exception. Marley Shelton was present for the event, posing for photos and lending her support to her fellow cast members, but she opted not to do interviews - and for a very good reason. Shelton is pregnant and looked like she was ready to deliver any moment, so foregoing the line of press was absolutely the right thing to do. The rest of the A Perfect Getaway stars - Milla Jovovich, Steve Zahn, Timothy Olyphant and Kiele Sanchez - spent plenty of time talking up the film, and they were all extremely careful not to give away any twists (no spoilers here so feel free to watch/read the interviews without fear of finding out the ending).
And while talking about A Perfect Getaway was definitely their top priority, Jovovich and Zahn did provide the scoop on a few of their upcoming projects. Jovovich confirmed she's ready to start filming on Resident Evil number four: Resident Evil: Afterlife. Jovovich is returning as Alice, and Alice will indeed be the lead character once again. There were rumors Ali Larter's 'Claire' would be taking over as the main character, but that's not happening. And Steve Zahn's enthusiastic about a film he just signed on to star in, Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Zahn will be playing the wimpy kid's dad. "I love the script and books are great. My son is like a huge fan and that was a very big reason to do it," said Zahn in our exclusive interview. "Every once in a while you've got to do something for the kids."
