Adam Sandler and writer/producer/director Judd Apatow go way, way back. The two funny guys used to be roommates in college and now both have solid careers, one in front of the camera and one behind. Universal Pictures' Funny People marks the first time the two have gotten together for a feature film, and even parts of their relationship are reflected onscreen.Apatow and Sandler filled the film with familiar players from the Apatow gang including Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Mrs. Judd Apatow (Leslie Mann), and Mann and Apatow's daughters, Iris and Maude. And on the red carpet at the film's very hot premiere in Hollywood, a couple of newbies to the Apatow universe said they're ready, willing, and able to become regular members of Apatow's gang, if he asks.
