Renee Zellweger's Back for Bridget Jones #3

Variety reports there's a third Bridget Jones movie in the works. Working Title is just beginning to set to work on the project and haven't signed up either a writer or director. The production company is tentatively aiming for a late 2010 start to production.

According to Variety, Renee Zellweger will return as the irrepressible Brit with the complicated love life. Back in 2004 when Zellweger was promoting Bridget Jones #2, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, she was asked if Bridget Jones is a character she can relate to. Her response: "It’s what I admire most about her is her ever-present optimism in the face of so much adversity. I love that she’s able to laugh at herself and get back up and keep on trying. Well, I do my best. I keep on trying anyway."

There's no confirmation yet on where the story will take Zellweger/Bridget Jones.
